Andy Thomason was born and raised in Hickory, NC. At a very early age, he found a passion for the visual. Art became an outlet and a refuge.

Pursuing the Artistic calling, Andy studied painting at Appalachian State University, where he received his BFA. The path of creation led him far and wide, having made several trips to Europe and many adventures across the American landscape. Always, he returned home to the studio, his sanctuary, to explore in work all he had witnessed, and sketched. To this day, through all the odd jobs and struggles of life, he finds peace in front of a canvas with a palette laden with oils.
